PNC Bank Debuts Consumer Loyalty and Rewards Program

PNC Bank announced the launch of PNC TotalRewards, a new relationship-based loyalty program designed to give clients more value, transparency, and ways to strengthen their financial wellbeing. The program represents a significant step forward in PNC’s strategy to become clients’ primary bank by earning their trust, meeting their needs and rewarding them for the full breadth of their financial relationship.

Chipotle Mexican Grill announced the next evolution of Chipotle Rewards alongside a fully redesigned in-app experience (available in the U.S. and Canada, excluding Quebec). With 21 million active members driving a significant portion of the company’s sales, Chipotle enters its next phase of digital growth.

Anchored in a new platform, “Rewards on Repeat,” the relaunch is designed to deliver more frequent rewards, greater flexibility and deeper everyday engagement for members. Wells Fargo Welcomes Wyndham to Rewards Points Transfer Program

Wells Fargo announced that Wyndham Rewards® has joined the company’s Rewards Points Transfer program. Starting 15 April, Wells Fargo credit cardholders can link their Wyndham Rewards account to eligible Wells Fargo credit cards and transfer points at a 1:2 transfer ratio. There is no minimum balance required and no waiting period to redeem.

XRP enters Japan’s mainstream market via Rakuten’s $23 billion loyalty program

Beginning April 15, 2026, Rakuten Wallet, a regulated digital asset platform in Japan, will integrate with XRP Ledger (XRPL) to list XRP for payments. XRP is a decentralized, open-source digital asset and often acts as a bridge currency for financial institutions to transfer money globally in real-time. This strategic listing means Rakuten Wallet users can seamlessly convert more than 3 trillion points, valued at about $23 billion at press time, into XRP.

Additionally, Rakuten Wallet users can use this token for payments via Rakuten Pay at more than 5 million merchants in Japan. Given Rakuten’s user base of over 100 million members, XRP payments have the potential to reach a vast audience and could drive exponential adoption in the near term.

Starbucks Announces Incentive Rewards Program for Baristas and Hourly Workers

Air Canada CEO to step down after backlash over his English-only crash message

Air Canada CEO Michael Rousseau said he will retire later this year, days after drawing criticism for an English-only condolence message following last month’s deadly crash in New York. Press release here.

Canada’s largest airline, based in French-speaking Quebec, said Rousseau, who is 68, told the board he will leave by the end of September. Air Canada, which is required by law to offer flight service in both English and French, said it will search for a new CEO who has “the ability to communicate in French.”
